On a crowded bus in the morning, Sarah and John, two international students, found themselves sitting next to each other. They decided to practice their English conversation. Sarah: Good morning! Do you live nearby? John: Good morning! Yes, I do. I live just a few blocks away from here. How about you? Sarah: I'm from Canada, but I study at the university downtown. It's quite a long journey for me every day. John: That sounds like a challenge. How do you manage it? Sarah: I take the bus because it's cheaper than the subway and there are more options for routes. How about you? John: I usually take the subway because it's faster, but sometimes when there are too many people, I prefer the bus. Sarah: That makes sense. Have you been living in this city for long? John: About two years now. It's a great place to live, but sometimes the traffic can be really frustrating. Sarah: Yes, traffic is always an issue here. But what do you like most about this city? John: I love the cultural diversity and the variety of food available everywhere. It's amazing to try different cuisines every day. Sarah: That's true! And have you tried any new restaurants recently? John: Yes, last week I went to a Korean restaurant downtown. The food was delicious! Sarah: Oh, that sounds interesting! Maybe we can go together sometime. John: That would be great! Let’s plan something soon. Sarah and John continued their conversation as they rode through the city, enjoying each other's company and practicing their English skills on this ordinary yet interesting bus ride. |
